Foreword to Volume VI

Since the- inception of this work, more than twenty years ago, certain individuals, not mentioned in Volume I, have contributed considerabh to the completion of these later volumes.

I wish to thank Mr. David J. Carter, especially, who devoted almost full time, over a period of several months, assembling types to be photographed and later checking them against prints to assure accuracy. I am grateful, also, to Mr. \V. (>. Tremcwan who, during 1964 aided materially in the completion of many illustrations; and to Mr. J. V. Hrown, for his painstaking care with the photographs of these small moths and their minute structures. My thanks are also due to Dr. Klaus Sattler who unseltishlv revealed esoteric informat- ion and permitted me to list- this to make new combinations and new assign- ments in the ( iclechiidac.

Over the more than twentj years past Mr. J. D. Bradlej and Mr. W. H. T. Tains have continued their unstinting help toward the completion ol this catalogue and deserve much more credit than shows in an\ ol the preceding or following pages.
